The Clan was revived by Ted and Judy Armstrong on the night of the
First Moon Landing on 20/21 July 1969 with the objectives of purchasing Gilnockie and
Mangerton Towers and to restore the most suitable for use as a focus for Clan members from

Our
Scottish forename database currently containing over 23,000 records and an
English forename one of 22,500 records. These are based on primary records taken
either side of the current England/Scotland border relating to the area
historically known as the Debateable Lands. In addition to this there are
databases holding the pedigrees of past and present members. The USA one
includes over 50,000 individuals while the UK holds one of over 9,500
individuals in pedigree form.
Information
can be obtained by members from these databases by contacting their Country
Convenors. By use of these databases it is possible to either link new members
to current ones and by primary source records to unknown ancestors. We also have
direct contact with the Armstrong DNA group if members are interested.
We are sorry but we cannot carry out research for non members of the Association.
