The Clan was revived by Ted and Judy Armstrong on the night of the First Moon Landing on 20/21 July 1969 with the objectives of purchasing Gilnockie and Mangerton Towers and to restore the most suitable for use as a focus for Clan members from all over the world.

Calling ALL Armstrongs Gathering 2011 weekend of July Friday 29 to Sunday 31 at Lockerbie. Friday: informal welcome dinner. Saturday: Visit Gilnockie  Tower, Lunch at Bewcastle and look round A* sites - guided tour. Evening Gathering  dinner with entertainment. Sunday: Day tour of A* sites in Debateable land. Watch for details!
